Greetings!
My name is Siew Ng. I migrated to Australia in 1988 from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have been working as Secretary/Personal Assistant in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney and North Sydney in a variety of fields such as, hospitality, waste management, insurance, mental health, architectural and building firms. I was also employed as the Multicultural Liaison Officer for almost ten years before I work casually in retail as shop assistant at the moment.
I had a brief stint as a self-employed in the furnishing business where I designed, manufactured and installed curtains. Thirty years ago, without any formal training, I designed my brand new house in Wattle Grove, NSW, and, ensured that the tradesmen followed the plan closely through fostering good owner-workers relationship.

Hospitality experiences
When I worked for the Kuala Lumpur Hilton in Malaysia I had the privilege to travel to England, Hong Kong and Singapore. They were unforgettable experiences to travel in comfort and in style, and, was exposed to these prestigious international five stars hotels' magnificient interiors. Through these memorable experiences I made up my mind to pursue my lifelong dream as an interior designer.

First New Colombo Plan (NCP) International Study Tour in Indonesia
The NCP Indonesia Study Tour was led by Senior Lecturer, Justin Owen, Curtin University. We started the study tour on 4th January 2025 for 30 days from Bali to Surabaya, Yogjakarta, Bandung and Jakarta.
It was the most educational, exciting, fun and challenging tour I ever had in my life. It was indeed a real privilege to learn so much about the people, various cultures, religions, sumptuous food, architecture, and, exotic interiors.
"It would be my dream comes true when I finally graduate and work as an interior designer."
