Though I have not had any formal training as an interior designer, I designed this house 30 years ago with energy efficiency in mind. There are many windows and glass sliding doors to let natural light in to brighten the interior during the day.  The heat from the sun retained by the bricks during the day will be released during the night to warm up the interior which will reduce heating cost.
